The storage unit will ensure students may retrieve and return science activities to the appropriate tote with safety and ease. By the middle school years, students are getting a firm grip on responsibilities and expectation of others. The cubby tote unit will help each student to become more responsible in the retrieving and preparation for science class activities. Often during classroom activities only a few students can be entrusted to complete a science activity without the fear of an accident occurring at a moments notice. The cubby unit would make every student take responsibility for the learning environment and enhance the classroom storage problem, as well. I have attended STEM training for the past two summers where teachers were given STEM materials to use in our classrooms. The Cubby tote unit would be a great storage unit for the students to access the materials with ease. The cubby unit is versatile and can be used with many different science activities during the school year. The cubby tote unit would allow each student to be able to perform a needed preparation task during activities. Not every student is able to complete every learning task without assistance from the teacher or their peers. However, this visual storage unit would allow for a much easier storage and return of items for students with learning disabilities. Every child must experience success on some level to prepare for the next step in the learning process.
