We are requesting beanbag seats and wobble cushions. Having flexible seating in the classroom gives the children an opportunity they aren't given often - freedom to move while learning. Each week, the children will choose a home base. This is a space that they feel the most comfortable in. This is where they will store their supplies and stay during whole group learning. When they are given independent work, they will have the option to move to another area in the room where they will be able to choose a different seating option. Allowing the kiddos to move gives them the opportunity to really take over their learning and thrive. This project being funded will help me give my students more options in our classroom. Having more options will ensure that every student has a comfortable space to work.
