Even though we live in the heartland of the USA, most of our students live in an urban setting, many in condos and apartments. This restricts their ability to work and learn in an outdoor, garden setting. Our students LOVE learning and it shows in their enthusiasm for this project. Designing and creating a living, working garden environment will satisfy many needs of our student body and community development. Beginning this spring, students, teachers, community organizations (Master Gardeners, Boy Scouts, Trees Forever, and local Garden Club members) all plan to participate in the outdoor classroom project with sustained commitment.

About my class
