Our school has access to approximately 90 Chromebooks on a given day for our 350 students. We use Khan Academy to target specific student needs and weaknesses. Khan has the ability to individualize what our students are practicing to master. It uses videos to reinforce topics they are behind on and to introduce new material to students who are ready to move ahead. Students have unlimited access to practice and tests and I can see their progress from my account. Having these chrome books in my classroom would give the students who work quickly, a chance to move on and expand their learning while at the same time giving the students who fall behind a chance to catch up on their own. Without these Chromebooks, students will be limited to working on Khan Academy, or any other website/program, to the approximately one day a week I would be able to sign up for a school set of Chromebooks.
