These materials will allow my students to experience the natural world closely. They will be able to jump in a puddle and still go home dry at the end of the day. Mud is beautiful and being able to squish in it is an experience every child should encounter. Having access to rain gear is not something every parent can supply on top of all the winter gear. I want to give children the ability to be messy and come home "clean" and dry. Having these materials will give my class the chance to develop inquiry skill. It will develop an understanding of nature and foster respect for the earth. Students will build an early awareness of environmental science.

About my class
