If my project is funded, the Bouncy Bands will be placed on the bottom of each students' desk. These bands will allow students to fidget and bounce using only their feet. As adults, we have a hard time sitting at a desk and listening or working without tapping or moving in some manner; six and seven year old students are no different! Often, if students are not given a proper way to release excess energy during the school day, it can result in distraction for the student and others around them. My goal with the Bouncy Bands is to give my students an outlet for movement for the times that they are at their desk. This will help with focus, lessen distractions throughout the classroom and increase learning across the board!
