I would use these supplies to create communication notebooks for my non-verbal students. At mid- year assessments, I noticed a trend with my non- verbal students. This sub-group was making the least amount of progress. I want to target these group and their communication needs. After collaborating with a speech language therapist and an autism consultant, I am going to implement communication notebooks. I plan to create a notebook for each student based upon their individual needs, wants and IEP goals. These notebooks can be used at home and school to help these students be able to communicate their needs and wants. Supplies needed to create these notebooks would be printer ink, cardstock, laminating sleeves, sheet protectors, Velcro and 3 ring binders.
