These Chromebooks will be put to use early and often in my classroom. To supplement teacher-led math instruction, students in the School District of Philadelphia access an online tool that uses adaptive instruction to teach the Common Core State Standards. These lessons adapt to each student's individual instructional needs through engaging problems and math-related games. Computers have become an essential element of education. They give students the ability to have some control over the direction of their learning. The most current theory in student education strongly supports the idea that these self-directed students are highly motivated and more successful than students in traditional all teacher-directed classrooms.
