These games, books and materials will help my students better understand how to manage their emotions, show empathy towards others and to take charge of their own learning. Hands-on learning, using teamwork and playing games helps the students become more involved in what they are learning which means they are more likely to remember what they've learned. All too often my students don't have the social skills to play board games; these games will increase their social skills as well as many other social emotional skills. The mindfulness stories will help my students to stay focused and to stay in control of their feelings. Social emotional learning is vital for the success of our students!
