I'm extremely excited about the possibilities that Chromebooks could have in store for my class. My students will use the Chromebooks to work on Kahoot, desmos, and USA test prep. My students would get to explore on desmos how different graphs change depending on how you write the equations. My students had a project to create anything that they wanted, but it had to have 2 linear line, 2 absolute value equations, and could include vertical and horizontal lines. The mouse will help the students to move around on the computer. Putting technology in the hands of kids is critical in a 21st century classroom. Technology in the classroom is important for our school district at this time because of the new standardized test based on the College and Career Readiness Standards. This test is taken on the computer and students will be expected to have these computer skills. The pencils will help the students to work math problems. When they make a mistake, the students can erase their work and correct their work. Most of my students do not have a pencil to use every day. What an advantage that would be to my students in the future market to have such a strong background in knowing how to properly use digital tools.
