It seriously breaks my heart every time I come into the classroom and think about how we don't have any student computers. Our once-a-week computer lab time conflicts with recess because it takes forever to get logged in. By the time they're online, they only have less than 10 minutes to use the computers. There were even times we skipped going out for our morning recess because they wanted to stay and play math games or listen to stories. My students LOVE playing math and literacy games online. They enjoy listening to story books. They have fun researching facts about historical events, animals, famous people, places, etc. So... why can't they do that everyday??
