In an effort to transition to a flexible seating classroom, wobble chairs, a cushion, and bean bag chairs would help to create a more comfortable and focused learning environment. I would be able to offer my students a variety of seating options based on what best meets their needs for meaningful learning to take place. These alternative seating options will allow students to relax and concentrate on their independent work tasks, which can help improve their success in the classroom. My project will create a more student-centered learning environment where student needs will be met. My students will be given the freedom to choose a seating option that allows them to focus and stay comfortable throughout the day. Student choice plays an important role in producing quality work and maintaining student engagement.
