We are requesting a new rug to help our classroom be an inviting, comfortable, and an optimal gathering place to learn for all of our learning styles. We tend to teach our lessons while students are in their seats and it is not the most intimate, cozy way to increase focus and motivation. Additionally, the hard, removed space tends to keep our sensory students looking for other ways to meet their needs. If a new rug arrives in our learning space - one that is bright, spacious and soft, students will be able to stretch out and welcome one another.
