Playing games will help the students to build a sense of community in the classroom. The students will have more opportunities to communicate and collaborate with their peers. These skills will transfer to other learning areas such as problem solving and other peer work. Playing games will also prepare them to one day become collaborating members of the society we live in. Building community through games in the classroom creates a comfortable learning environment. If the students feel comfortable they are more willing to make mistakes, express their ideas and thoughts . The students will play every Friday and be able to spend quality bonding time with their peers. They will be able to talk and bond with a classmate who they don't uaually speak to. This will accomplish the goal of having a great learning environment and give students the opportunity to become more academically and socially successful.
