Hello. I am a DLC (Diverse Learning Center/LIfe-skills) teacher in a public elementary school. Our school has a diverse population of students consisting of low income, refugees, immigrant and second language learners. The majority of our students receive free and reduced lunch and free breakfast. I service students in grades K-5 with multiple disabilities. I believe I have the most fabulous job in the world and am very grateful to be a part of each of my student's lives. My students receive individualized instruction as each of their needs are different. This can bring on challenges but also allows for daily celebrations as each child works hard to accomplish their personal goals. I have high expectations for my students and believe that each and every one of them can learn no matter what their abilities.
