I teach at a Title 1 school in South Carolina where over 87% of our students are on free/reduced lunch. I teach 6th grade Pre-Algebra. I have the pleasure of preparing my students for Algebra 1 (high school credit) class next year. I am excited to prepare my students with the foundation to be successful in their high math classes. My students work hard with their studies, however it is difficult to bridge the gap of abstract learning to concrete learning with only the textbook. My students need to be instrumental in their own learning with hands-on activities to fully reach their mathematical potential. I strive to find activities and projects that benefit them. My students are truly amazing, incredible, remarkable students that I love teaching!
