Nerd's rule with Lego Robotics! I teach 7th and 8th grade math and science as part of a mixed regular education and special education team. Three teachers loop with this group through seventh and eighth grade. We differentiate a lot. Our school is only four years old, but we do not have money for anything extra. Our district is low income and we get a lot of support from the state. As a result of the current financial situation, the state has cut back too, so we are really in a bind when it comes to extras. Neither parents, nor administrators nor PTA have much to offer. In spite of this we keep plugging along using best practices in middle school education. I work with some great teachers!
