This district is in a very low socioeconomic area. Many of the families at the school receive free or reduced lunch and have a difficult time just paying their bills. The school is in desperate need of updating and with the state budget that doesn't look like it is going to happen any time soon. Besides this minor setback, these first graders are eager to learn. Technology is one thing that really gets their attention and gets them interested in learning.
