I work with Special Education students in an inclusion classroom. My students are on the cusp of being able to learn independently in a general education setting but need to have their assignments modified to accommodate their individual learning styles. One of the best ways to modify student lessons is by using up to date, reliable technology. The MacBook Air is a computer that fits the bill perfectly. It will allow students to quickly search the internet and find a wealth of information that will allow them to learn on their own terms. Having this project funded will allow my students to learn in a hands on manner through research based strategies that will spark their interest and enrich them to the point of comprehension. There is a shortage of reliable, working laptops in our school. Possessing one of this caliber will not only be a great aide in the students learning experience but, it will also help them to learn to operate technology that they will encounter when they graduate and enter the workforce.
