A projection screen that is large enough for all to see in the classroom will help our students greatly. At the current time, I have a very old screen that is too small for the distance of my projector. I have to have the projector at the back of the room so that the kids don't trip over the cords. I have been told I can't have the projector mounted on the ceiling because "we don't have the budget for that". I am requesting a new projection screen so that I can keep my projector in the back of the room, for the children's safety, and still utilize the projector throughout the day. At the present time, students can only view about a quarter of a page when I project pages onto the screen. This screen will allow me to project the students Journeys Reader all onto one screen so that they can follow the digital copy as it "tracks" the words as we read. Funding of this project will help to create more fluent readers.
