My students are English language learners. There are specific teaching strategies that increase these students' comprehension and engagement. Writing in color code helps their reading and writing comprehension. Reading and marking the text in various colors increases reading comprehension and critical thinking skills. The colored pencils, markers, and highlighters will make this possible. Increased engagement means increased academic success. Instead of calling on just one student to give an answer, the individual white boards, markers, and erasers provide my students with the opportunity for 100% participation during the entire class period. Your donation will positively benefit my students every day of the school year and into their futures as well.
