In our district, all grades have struggled with math skills. These activities and manipulatives will give us the opportunity to fill in the gaps in skills that our students have experienced in mathematics - multiplication, fractions, geometry, and pre-algebra. Our students will form teams and compete with each other as their mathematics skills improve. Math drills and challenges will make learning fun but effective. There will be a new math focus/challenge every two weeks. The students will be able to celebrate their successes in layered milestone celebrations. The progress made will transfer to academic achievement and a firm mathematical foundation.
