These materials will allow my students to travel around the world and learn about things of both the past and present. When students can identify an image or an experience with presented material, learning becomes more engaging for the students, thus promoting retention of the information. Also, with a lack of funds and time in today's education, some students may never have the opportunity to see these places "first hand". Students will also use these trips to increase the level of thinking and create something based on their visual experiences. My students have shown a great interest in these virtual field trips. My students will use these materials consistently throughout the school year to take virtual field trips to various places around the world. Using this technology, students will be able to tour places located in Europe, ultimately giving them a first hand experience of how people were mistreated in Nazi Germany. Moreover, this will provide some of my students the ability to see places around the world, first hand, that may never financially have the opportunity to do so.
