My students are needing new scooters for my Physical Education classes. I have over 400 kids benefiting from these scooters. We play lots of games with these, since they utilize upper body strength, lower body strength, and their core. Since their is an epidemic of obesity running rampant in our society some students have a hard time fitting on small scooters. There is also not a place to put their hands and the little hands of my 2nd through 4th grade students get pinched between two scooters. I have all students, some with Autism, Intellectual Disabilities, Emotional Disturbances, Specific Learning Disabilities, and Obesity. Our school district is in Illinois, which I'm sure everyone has heard is strapped with financial difficulties. Our Physical Education department gets less than $200.00 per year to buy new equipment, as well as replace the equipment that has grown old, has broken, or as an additive to curriculum. These would benefit all my students. I appreciate any help you can contribute.
