Students in our school libraries are always working together. They collaborate on school work from their teachers, library projects, and before and after school activities. Having whiteboard tables will allow students space to brainstorm, prepare, and execute their school work, particularly in groups. Putting whiteboard tables in the library will give students the freedom to brainstorm, collaborate, and share their knowledge. Students (as well as staff and community members!) use the library space for a wide variety of reasons and whiteboard tables will go a long way! Our school is open concept so our library space does not have any walls for traditional whiteboards or even bulletin boards. Having these tables would allow for both collaborative work and teaching.
