My students are in need of alternative seating options that they can utilize throughout the day. One such option is a treadmill with a standing desk that they could use as a motor break while still participating in classroom instruction. Many times when my students need a movement break, they have to leave the classroom which creates a disruption in their routine and causes them to fall behind in their schoolwork. Having options such as stability ball chairs and a standing treadmill desk, would provide my students with choices. In turn, this would eliminate the need to leave the classroom. These students often feel that they are different in some way and I would love to be able to incorporate different alternative seating options that are available to everyone in my classroom.
