I teach an excitable group of bilingual second graders. They show up to class every day ready to learn, participate and have fun. Together we learn to meditate, create art and take care of classroom plants along with our regular classroom learning. Despite the many setbacks my students face, they greet me every day with a smile and they inspire me to do right by them. I see so much potential in them from the things they work on at home and bring back to school. Whether it's a bridge made out of popsicle sticks, a Carnival-inspired mask or a thoughtfully written letter, they are awesome!

About my class
