I believe in the importance of play and taking responsibility of our our action in my classroom. We have flexible seating to allow students to make decisions in how they learn. As long as a student is working hard, I don't care if they stand, sit, lay down, or climb on top of furniture. Young learners need lots of movement and exploration to learn and thrive. That is why I allow my students to use manipulatives and other hands-on materials in the classroom. When students are excited about learning, they will become successful students.
