Having their own books will help students understand and be fully engaged. Students will be able to use their books to reread the material and answer comprehension questions. The requested items are for two novels that I enjoy reading each year. Manic Magee I borrow from a fellow teacher; however his books are in rough conditions from being used so much. The other book I read aloud to the students. I feel that if each student had their own copy we can go into greater details of the story. This will deepen their understanding of literature.
