Help me enhance my students' social-emotional learning by creating a classroom library of books and tools to benefit their mindfulness and kindness with each other. We will spend the first month of school learning about ourselves, each other and how to best approach any challenges they face. Mindfulness creates awareness of children's bodies, minds and feelings in the present moment without overwhelming by what is going on around them. My goal for the year is to have a community of second graders that are aware of their feelings and provide lifelong strategies for them to keep their bodies calm in the present.

About my class
