These items will help my students not only be comfortable but also help them with staying focused. We currently have two large body pillows. Everyday during independent practice time students race to the body pillows. They've become creative and buddy up 3 to a pillow. Other students are stuck at their desk or the hard floor. While our school has technology, it's hard to focus with 21 students reading aloud, playing literacy games, and a teacher reading to a small group while you're supposed to be on your iPad. Students try to find a cozy space and tune out the world but it's very difficult to do at 7 years old. These headphones and comfy pillows will help students stay engaged while being comfortable and focused.
