While science is a lot about textbook learning, the real fun and real learning happen when students get to do hands on activities. This project provides a wide selection of basic supplies that my students need to experience, build, explore and visualize. With these supplies students can create models and posters of small components of plant and animals cells. These supplies will allow them map biological processes, distilling complicated processes into memorable images. In addition, all students will present their work to the class, honing their communication and literacy skills. Not only will this improve their scientific knowledge, but having the right supplies will help build their self esteem and increase their participation in class.
