Many of my students are at different reading levels and have difficulty diving into a book. "Night" will allow us as a class to read the book together. This will allow for additional support for my struggling readers but the content is for all students. Each student will be able to understand and visualize what happened to many Jewish people during this time. I will read to students, students will read aloud, use Post-Its, and in small groups so this will allow students to practice reading and listening skills. At the end of the book we will relate the discrimination and inequality in the book and the Holocaust to other events in history, as well as what is occurring in our society today.
