The new alternative seating options will give my students the opportunity to learn through movement. The students will be able to work in areas around the room other than a desk or table. I am wanting to give them the options of bean bag chairs for a comfy choice, wobble stools to get their wiggles out and soft seats to move throughout the room. I want my students to find a spot that is comfortable for them and easy to work at. Being a 6 or 7 year old isn't always easy, especially when you are being told to sit still all day. By giving my students the ability to learn in a way that is beneficial to them will help them succeed in whole group, small group and work station time. Students will be given the choice to sit, stand or even lay if that is the way that they learn best and will stay focused. This will help my students love school even more and feel successful throughout the day.
