I teach in a school that is well over-capacity with limited technology and behavioral support. While all of our amazing teachers, administration, and staff do the best we can every day with what we have, our students deserve the best education we can offer them. That means that I am constantly looking for ways to increase their engagement and give them meaningful learning experiences, while also providing necessary support to the students in my classroom with behavioral issues and special needs. By funding these Chromebooks and Wobble Chairs, you will be directly contributing to the betterment of my students' education, as these items will increase their focus and motivation, and provide authentic learning experiences. All of my students will benefit from the Chromebooks, as they will be used for a variety of purposes. For example, these Chromebooks will allow me to provide students with access to engaging and individualized math programs as part of our math rotations. These programs will allow me to better meet the needs of all my learners, with a variety of learning styles and ability levels. Using these programs will help my students who need enrichment to be challenged and my students who are struggling to get extra supports they need. Access to these Chromebooks will also allow my students opportunities for extended research and discovery in writing, science, and social studies. My students with disabilities will be able to access applications on the Chromebooks that are critical to their success. I have many students in my class who need sensory stimulation to focus due to attention issues or anxiety. These Wobble Chairs will allow those students to wobble as they learn so that they can unlock their fullest potential!
