Only so many books can fit on the bookshelves of a classroom. Having Kindles in my classroom will open up a broader world of reading to my students! Buying the rights for one digital copy of a book makes it available on up to 6 devices! My students will not only be able to get access to MORE books, they'll be able to COLLABORATE and COMMUNICATE with their classmates on specific assignments through book notes in the digital book in their reading groups. They'll be able to access titles that peak their interest that help them discover and cultivate their own world of reading. My students come from a diverse population, where a many students don't have any access to books at their home. Having Kindles will show them there are many opportunities to be literate through technology. Online libraries are also accessible through Kindles, which will make even MORE books available to them.
