Donations to this project will benefit readers that are struggling and discouraged. Being able to understand a book that you are reading makes a huge difference in ones enjoyment of reading. Through observation and discussions with my class, many students are not enjoying reading because the books are too difficult. Many books in my class library are not on a level that the students can read because many of them are below grade level. I'm requesting a variety of leveled books including A Dragon in the Sandbox, Extreme Animals, Elephant and Envelope, Aunt Flossie's Haps, Rain Forests, Who Will Be My Friends?, Frog and Toad, Fancy Nancy, Who Lives Here?, Who's Hiding?, Danny and the Dinosaur, and The Bravest Dog Ever. My students' literacy experience will be enhanced dramatically by being exposed to good fit books (book on their reading level). Students will be able to meet grade level expectations while using these text that are on their individual reading level.
