The equipment in this order will be used as soon as it arrives. Because my students have already been sharing cameras and lenses, there will be no time wasted with this new equipment. The more the students have their own camera the more in depth I am able to teach and at a quicker pace. On any given weekend, I have to turn away students wishing to capture the world outside of school because of our lack of cameras for each student. With the additional camera and lens, more students will be able to focus on the world around them. In teaching photography, the best way to learn is to shoot a plethora of subjects and to shoot often. I would like to have a rotation basis of weekend use of the cameras. If this project is funded, I would be able to have at least 8 students with a camera each weekend. That would result in each of my students having a camera once a month for weekend use. If students have the camera over the weekend, they would be able to practice their lessons with little time constraints.
