The leveled books consist of most of the levels I expect my kindergarteners to be reading throughout the course of the school year. These books will assist in giving each child the kind of book that is on their level which helps differentiate my teaching. My students will be continually assessed to see if they should be advanced to another level. They will be using the books as independent readers which will also be brought home. Often times, parents have a difficult time finding books their child can read without a lot of assistance. The children's enthusiasm when they are able to read a book independently to a loved one is magical!
