Think about the way you like to start your day, whether it be at home or at work. A cup of coffee? Saying hello to coworkers? Quietly organizing your day/tasks? They all sound good to me... The last thing I want to see when I get up is a more work and the expectation of silence. Soft starts allow students to come into the classroom and greet their classmates while engaging in academic play. Giving students the freedom to choose activities with peers helps build a community where everyone feels safe, valued, and loved.

About my class
