My classroom is one of love and learning. I have an inclusive class that embraces differences as amazing, and wonderful opportunities for looking at life in different ways. As we have entered the world of distance learning however, these challenges are proving to be incredibly difficult to overcome without the benefits of direct instruction and access to the technology necessary for successful on-line teaching. Our students have gone above and beyond to be the same wonderful students they were in class, at home. But, the majority of our students are currently learning in home environments that are challenging. For some it's a lack of access to technology or WiFi. For others it's basic necessities as parents strive to work to meet the needs of multiple children home all day. For others, it's not enough support to guide them as they tackle learning remotely, leaving students to figure things out alone.
