We want to offer our students limitless opportunities in this year of DECA. Our DECA program is a co-curricular international organizations that includes over 200,000 high school students from across the globe. The students in this class come from a very diverse background and live in a city of over 60,000 residents. 75% of the students in this district receive free or reduced lunch and state benefits at home. Students in this program are motivated to excel and become business professionals, but money often keeps them from participating in professional opportunities. Our district DECA program is made up of 60% females and 40% males ages 15-19. 50% of the students in this program are of Hispanic descent, 20% are of African american descent and 30% are Caucasian.
