Each day students are given time to read to self. This is a time most kids look forward to everyday. To get from one location to another efficiently, teachers often have kids store their books in boxes. Unfortunately, the cardboard boxes I purchased in August are just not holding up. This time is critical to develop independent reading skills. We spend a lot of time practicing picking out good fit books (Books that they can read independently, but aren't too easy). Making books more accessible to kids gives them more time to read. With functional storage for student books, kids with have more time for learning!
