Like most children, my students love having hands-on experiences with technology. There are many things that my students cannot do because they do not have access to their own tablet or laptop. Last year, I was able to use Canvas to enable my students who are academically behind, enhance my academically gifted students by providing QR Code scavenger hunts, and providing review sessions with students using various educational websites during class. With the aid of technology, I was able to see my students challenged and engaged in the lesson. Technology teaches students independent thinking skills. There are many times that I have wanted my students to be able to do digital projects and research, but we are very limited to what we can do. There are some students who probably do not have access to any technology besides the technology that we attempt to use at school. I want all of my students to be able to have access to technology whenever they enter my classroom. By donating to this project, you will ensure that my students have open access to technology every day at school. You will be giving a fifth-grade child an experience that they wouldn't have had before. My students will get to learn how to be fluent in technology, and I will be able to design more engaging and rigorous lessons.
