My students will be given options for seating which will allow them to focus better. My students will be able to use ball chairs, stools, scoop chairs and mats to enhance their learning. I have found that kids are able to focus so much more when they are given the permission and option to wiggle around. It is very difficult to remain in their seats or on the carpet for a long period of time. It is amazing the results and attention you get within the classroom when students are able to move freely. When giving the flexible seating a trial run, I found that the children are excited to try out the new seats, are willing to learn, pay better attention, and aren't getting in trouble as frequently. Flexible seating will provide my students with choices, the freedom to wiggle and bounce while learning.
