It is important that students are able to move throughout the day. This movement helps students concentrate better and be more efficient with their work. Flexible seating in the classroom allows students to be able to move and use their bodies in a way that keeps them engaged in the task at hand. Through research, I have found that flexible seating is a good fit and allows them to release energy in a safe and responsible way. I'm requesting Learniture Active Learning Stools, Gaiam Balance Balls, and Balance Discs. Allowing students to choose where they sit will set them up for success within the classroom. They will have more opportunities to move while staying engaged.
