I teach Secondary Forensic Science, Biology, and AP Biology. My students love hands-on, project based activities. They are able to ask the difficult questions and see for themselves the scientific outcome. In my project I have requested funding for labs and supplies for class. We also must perform labs according to strict guidelines for our college level class. Giving them this opportunity can open up so much more understanding as well as engage them in the classroom. I have also requested kits for forensic evidence processing. These topics spark the tough questions in science, and also show the depth of science in related fields of study. These labs and supplies will enable my students to be successful on the AP exam, gain lab skills for further learning, and connect concepts across subjects. Help me out by donating and some brilliant scientists will be able to do their research!
