Improving reading skills is a goal that we have at my school. Children learn how good readers are supposed to sound when they hear good models. One way to provide students with models of good reading is to use books on audio. Listening to books being read aloud on a CD will help students become more fluent readers. It is also a great strategy for engaging reluctant readers to enjoy books. My teachers frequently borrow the few books on audio that my media center has. I would like this part my library collection to grow, in order to reach more teachers and, ultimately, more students.
