The collection of books in our classrooms is a bit outdated. When selecting books, kids go for things that spark their interest. If we could update our collection of books, I feel that I can help students develop a true love for reading. Students need books in their hands that they can make a connection with. In order for children to learn to read, they have to have books in their hands to work on practicing the skills they are learning in class. The books I have chosen for this project (Guided Reading Collection Levels J-N) will enable me to give my students a larger selection of relevant text that I can use to guide students in instruction.
