I have the privilege of working with 3rd graders in my school. The district that I work in serves students from very diverse backgrounds. Many of the students whom I work with speak a language other than English at home. They have the unique challenge of learning content while also picking up a whole new language. Despite the challenges that these students face, my students come to school each day ready to learn. It is my goal as their teacher to create an environment that is culturally relevant where they can see themselves reflected in the texts that we read. The joy that I see reflected on my students' faces when they realized that donors, such as yourselves, care about their education is priceless. Please consider supporting us on our journey!
